About Craig Maitland
East Texas native. Equipment man to the bone. Craig Maitland spent his career in heavy equipment — building, running, and eventually selling one of the region's respected tractor and equipment dealerships. He knows the machines because he sold them, serviced them, and ran them himself.
These days that experience goes into what he loves most: taking care of Texas hunting country. Land management isn't a side business for Craig — it's the work he chose after he could choose anything. Lanes cut clean, roads that drain right, feeders that spin when they're supposed to, and land that's ready when you pull in Friday night.
If it runs on diesel and makes a lease better, Craig's probably done it — and probably has a strong opinion about the right way to do it.
Craig and his wife Amber call East Texas home. Their boys grew up in the woods and on the water — Matthew is a senior at Texas A&M Galveston, and Tyler is a senior at Hallsville High School.
